Happiness-Joy-Bliss

"What day is it?" asked Pooh.
"It's today," squeaked Piglet.
"My favorite day," said Pooh.

Happiness is a bubble.
Joy is a fountain, a babbling stream which rises and overflows in a sweet rupture of delight. Oftentimes, joy can be traced and explained, yet doesn't have to be. That it is there is enough, for when it comes it sweeps over you and whispers of bliss.

Happiness, I think, is exquisite, though fragile. A moment can come and you feel that things are right in the world but you may not know exactly why. You think that maybe the feeling won't last, because you know of course that the world still does have a thorough amount of darkness and that tomorrow or in an hour or five minutes something will happen and you'll be just okay again, so you don't examine the feeling too closely. You look at the bubble of happiness, admire the rainbow hues and simply enjoy the feeling of weightlessness, as though anything is possible, floating in a bubble that you hope won't let you down, at least not too soon. Look but don't touch, or else pop, it could be gone. But oh how wonderful those moments of complete happiness can be. Everything is a little prettier and better. You can't say why, probably. Maybe someone said the right thing to you which you didn't even know your heart was yearning to hear. It could be a meaningful act, a helping hand, an enchanting song, a tender kiss, an accomplishment, the feeling of sunshine, or a thousand other things, sparking that feeling which we are told is our human right to pursue.

There's a movie called "HappyThankYouMorePlease", titled because one of the characters says that when you are happy, you should thank the universe and ask for more, please. It was sweetly portrayed, yet I think this should be a reminder to thank God: when swept up in a moment of bliss, to whisper or shout, "Thank You God, thank You."
